Teks Prosedur (Procedure Text) merupakan teks yang menunjukkan sebuah langkah ataupun mengoperasikan sesuatu melalui langkah-langkah tertentu. Silahkan perhatikan penjelasan di bawah ini.
A. Definition of Procedure Text
It is one type of text in English that shows a process in creating or operating something that serves to illustrate how something is done by paying attention to the regular steps.
(Salah satu jenis teks dalam bahasa inggris yang menunjukkan sebuah proses dalam membuat maupun mengoperasikan sesuatu yang berfungsi untuk mengilustrasikan bagaimana sesuatu itu dikerjakan dengan cara memperhatikan beberapa langkah secara teratur)
B. Social Function
To tell how to do something or to provide a clear set of directions for completing a specific task.
(Fungsi sosialnya adalah untuk memberitahu cara melakukan sesuatu sekaligus memberikan petunjuk dengan jelas untuk menyelesaikan suatu tugas tertentu)
C. Generic Structure
1. Aim / Goal (Tujuan)
It contains information about the purpose in the manufacture or operation of something.
(Berisi informasi mengenai tujuan dalam pembuatan maupun pengoperasian sesuatu).
2. Materials (Alat / bahan)
Consisting of materials which are used in making something, sometimes we do not need any materials such as explaining how to do manual instructions, perform certain activities, and things related to human nature or habits.
(Terdiri dari beberapa bahan yang digunakan dalam membuat sesuatu, terkadang ada kalanya kita tidak membutuhkan alat seperti menjelaskan cara melakukan instruksi secara manual, melakukan aktifitas-aktifitas tertentu, dan hal lainnya yang berhubungan dengan sifat maupun kebiasaan manusia)
3. Steps (Langkah - Langkah)
It contains the steps or sequences that must be done so that the aim which is described can be achieved well.
(Biasanya berisi langkah-langkah atau urutan yang harus dilakukan agar tujuan yang diuraikan bisa tercapai dengan baik)
How to Make Tea
Aim / Gol :
Making tea is not as difficult as we think. The procedures are simple but we have to focus so that tea which has been made by us is able to be served well. Most people make tea with different ways but now the writer wants to give procedure how to make tea by his own ways. Pay attention to the following materials and also the steps.
Materials :
For the materials we need water, tea bag, cup, spoon, pan and gas stove. Mostly all those appliances are able to be found by us in kitchen. If we are not able to find some, we are able to use other appliances which have the same functions for example pan and gas stove can be replaced by water heater.
Steps :
Firstly, put the regular pot which has been contained water and turn on the gas stove. Wait for the water until it boils well. Secondly, put the tea bag into the cup and also pour the hot water and then stir them. Thirdly, take the tea bag from the cup and add some sugar or honey based on our appetite and finally the tea is ready to be served.
