Pernah kah berkunjung ke tugu pahlawan Surabaya sebelumnya? Ya jika belum, sebaiknya sempatkan waktu untuk berkunjung ya jika memungkinkan karna ini syarat akan sejarah penting bangsa Indonesia untuk mempertahankan kemerdekaan.

Have you ever visited the Surabaya Heroes Monument before? Yes, if never, ask for time to visit if it is possible because this will be important for the Indonesian people to maintain the independence.

Lokasi monumen ini bisa dibilang berada di tengah kota. Ada beberapa lokasi penting disekitar areal ini misalnya kantor Gubernur Jawa Timur, Stasiun Pasar Turi, dan Tunjungan Plaza. Bagi pengunjung dari luar kota menggunakan transportasi kereta api, gak perlu khawatir karna sangat dekat cuma jalan kaki akan ditempuh sekitar 10 menit saja untuk bisa sampai.

The location of this monument is practically in the middle of the city. There are several important locations around this area such as the East Java governor's office, Turi Market Station, and Tunjungan Plaza Mall. For visitors from outside the city who use railroad transportation, there is no need to worry because it is so close, only by walking, it will take about 10 minutes to get.

Berdasarkan pengalamanku berkunjung disana, aku kesana dengan mengendarai motor. Saat itu di hari biasa bukan hari libur atau akhir pekan. Nyampek sana aku parkir motor dulu, cara markirnya itu pakek mesin parkir tinggal tekan tombol masuk, tiket parkir udah bisa diambil deh. 

Based on my experience visiting there, I was there riding a motorcycle. At that time on weekdays not holidays or weekends. When I got there I parked the motorbike first, the way the park used the parking machine, just press the login button, the parking ticket can already be taken.

Saat hendak masuk di areal monumen ini, aku menemukan banyak gambar timbul yang menggambarkan peristiwa kejadian penting di kota Surabaya seperti kedudukan masa Jepang di Surabaya dan juga peristiwa kedatangan pasungan Inggris. 

When I was about to enter the area of ​​this monument, I found many pictures that depicted events of important events in the city of Surabaya such as the position of the Japanese period in Surabaya and also the events of the arrival of the British troops.

Nah pas di pintu masuk aku melihat dua patung besar yaitu mantan presiden Ir. Soekarno dan wakilnya Drs. Mohammad Hatta seperti saat membacakan proklamasi kemerdekaan Indonesia. Setelah masukpun ke areal monument ini, masih banyak juga beberapa patung para pejuang penting lainnya.  

Well right at the entrance I saw two large statues, the former president Ir. Soekarno and his deputy Drs. Mohammad Hatta like reading the proclamation of Indonesian independence. After entering into this monument area, there are still many other statues of important fighters.

Dari titik sini, aku bisa melihat tugu pahlawan dengan jelas. Menurut catatan tinggi dari monumen ini adalah 41,15 meter dan diresmikan oleh mantan Presiden Republik Indonesia pertama, Ir. Soekarno pada 10 November 1952.

From here, I can clearly see the hero monument. According to the high records of this monument it is 41.15 meters and was inaugurated by the former President of the first Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno on November 10th 1952.
